  • Civil Rights laws have been passed and enforced by the government
  • While the number of African Americans and Hispanics in the government is not near the percentage of population, the numbers are increasing every year
  • We have an African American president
  • African Americans vote at nearly the same rate as the average population, but Hispanics are much lower (average around 60% registering, African American 58%, Hispanic 28%)
  • Encourage minorities to continue to become active in politics, possibly through schools
  • Push for voter registration drives and voter eductaion in the Hispanic community, possibly with bilingual voting ballots

  • In all of the races and groups the employment rate has gone almost every year since 1980.
  • The average white male and females employment rate is much higher then the average African Americans.
  • However the average African Americans employment rate is higher then the average hispanic american.
  • Also in almost all of the races males have a higher employment rate then females.
  • Advertise jobs more to the unemployed.

  • Ages 30-34 have the lowest education rate.
  • Ages 16-17 and 18-19 have a very small difference in education rate. They have almost the same numbers.
  • The education rate is surprisingly low.
  • The education rate is getting higher but it is not as good as it could be.
Income and Poverty

  • The income is getting higher.
  • White has the highest income rate, asian has the second highest, Hispanic's have the third highest, then blacks have the fourth.
  • All races combined, there are only 1,366 that make over 250,000.
  • The income rates vary a lot.
  • The average white american makes a lot more money then the average African American.
  • The rates are growing closer every year though.
